Week of January 21st

Coming up in First Grade
Wednesday, January 23rd is our school wide writing day. As a school wide initiative to practice the beauty and art of writing, we will host a Lincoln Writes Day. This is an opportunity enjoy writing as a whole class. It is not an instructional time, but rather a time for teachers and students to pause and enjoy the process of writing.

This year we will be having a school-wide Spring Festival will be held on April 13th in the afternoon.  It will consist of multiple inflatables/slides/bounce houses, games, face painting, food trucks, entertainment, and class booths.  Volunteers will be needed from every class.  We are hoping that this becomes a great community building event for our school and families. Our theme this year is a celebration of culture and we are in charge of choosing a country from Europe to represent with our booth with 1B.  What we need is 1-2 parents to be the head contact and lead for each class and booth. If you are interested please reach out to me this week so I can get you more information.
